Axis Bank to redeem $600 million AT1 notes on Sept. 8

Axis Bank has announced its decision to redeem $600 million in 4.10% Additional Tier 1 Notes on September 8, 2026. The bank made this announcement in a press release. The redemption will take place at par value, including accrued and unpaid interest. The notes were issued on September 8, 2021, under an offering circular. Axis Bank informed The Bank of New York Mellon, London Branch, the notes' trustee, about the redemption on Sunday.

The Reserve Bank of India approved the redemption on July 31, 2026. Axis Bank reassured the RBI that its capital position will remain strong after the redemption. The notes have two identifiers: ISIN USY1009XAA73 and US05464XAA37, and CUSIP numbers Y1009XAA7 and 05464XAA3. The redemption record date is the business day before September 8, 2026.
