Australian shark attack victim grateful for 'second chance at life'

Leah Stewart, a 35-year-old Australian woman, was recently bitten by a shark while swimming at Coogee Beach in Sydney. The attack left her with multiple injuries across her arms and legs, leading to her being placed in an induced coma and undergoing several surgeries, including the amputation of one of her arms. Despite the grueling recovery period, Leah has expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support she has received, which has raised over AU$550,000 for her.

In an online post, Leah thanked her supporters, stating that she now feels like she has been given a second chance at life and will make the most of it. She emphasized that she is not going to waste this opportunity and is overwhelmed by the support from family, friends, and even strangers. Leah's recovery has been remarkable, and she attributes a significant part of it to the love, support, prayers, and encouragement from people around the world.
