Amazon raises Echo, Kindle, Fire TV, and eero prices by up to 60%, blaming the memory crunch

Amazon has raised prices on a range of its own products, including Echo smart speakers, Kindles, Fire TV devices, and eero routers. The price increases vary from 30% to 60% depending on the product. For example, the base Echo Dot increased from $49.99 to $79.99, while the 16GB Kindle is now $149.99, up from $109.99. The Fire TV Stick HD rose from $34.99 to $39.99, and the Fire TV Stick 4K Max jumped from $59.99 to $84.99.

The Fire TV Cube surged from $139.99 to $199.99. The eero 7 wireless mesh networking system saw a $50 price hike, moving from $349.99 to $399.99. However, the biggest price jump is reserved for the eero Pro 7, which now costs $799.99, up from $699.99. Amazon's spokesperson confirmed the price hikes, attributing them to soaring memory and storage component costs, which are being passed on to consumers.

This trend is not unique to Amazon, as other tech giants like Samsung, Micron, and Apple have also raised their own prices due to similar cost pressures.
