AEG Partners With Archer Aviation to Bring Air Taxis to L.A. Live

In a groundbreaking move for Los Angeles, AEG has teamed up with Archer Aviation to introduce air taxis at L.A. Live, the city's bustling sports and entertainment district. This is the first vertiport in Downtown Los Angeles, aiming to bolster Archer's ambitious network before the 2028 L.A. Olympics and Paralympics. Nestled near iconic attractions like Crypto.com Arena, The Novo, and Regal L.A.

LIVE cinemas, L.A. Live draws millions annually, and this alliance will make Archer the exclusive air taxi partner for the entertainment complex.

The vertiport is designed to complement Archer's existing network, which includes locations at Los Angeles International Airport, USC, Orange County, Santa Monica, Hollywood Burbank, Long Beach, and Van Nuys. Archer is also in talks with the Los Angeles Rams and Hollywood Park, located near SoFi Stadium, for potential exclusive vertiport sites. As the L.A. Live partnership moves into its first phase, logistics and permits for the vertiport are being finalized, with initial feasibility studies already completed.

AEG's president and COO, Nick Baker, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting the synergy between Archer's infrastructure and AEG's content distribution across its global portfolio. The Midnight aircraft, a one-pilot, four-passenger electric model, will serve as the primary air taxi, targeting a price point similar to premium rideshares like Uber Black.

With flight speeds up to 150 mph, trips across Los Angeles are projected to take between 10 and 20 minutes, a significant improvement over traditional traffic times.

The partnership between AEG and Archer is poised to revolutionize travel to and from L.A. Live, offering fans a faster and more efficient mode of transportation. By targeting the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics, the network aims to provide seamless access to all events, from basketball games to concerts and special ceremonies. Archer's fleet of Midnight aircrafts, set to operate across Southern California, will complement existing air traffic while adhering to quiet cruising altitudes and all-electric operations.

As the project progresses, Archer is committed to scaling the fleet and expanding the network, potentially introducing the service to more AEG facilities worldwide.
