AEG, Archer plan vertiport at L.A. LIVE entertainment district

Los Angeles - AEG and Archer Aviation have entered into a multi-year agreement to develop a vertiport at the L.A. LIVE entertainment district in downtown Los Angeles, as reported by a press release. This partnership designates Archer as the exclusive air taxi provider for L.A. LIVE, marking the first vertiport announced in the downtown area.

The site will accommodate Archer's electric air taxis, situated in a four-million-square-foot district that houses various entertainment venues and sports facilities. The proposed vertiport will complement Archer's existing network in Los Angeles, which includes locations such as SoFi Stadium, USC, Hollywood Burbank, and the Hawthorne Airport.

The companies have completed an initial feasibility study, covering aspects like land use, airspace, power availability, and community impact. They are now focusing on operational plans and guest experience enhancements. This collaboration aligns with Archer's status as the Official Air Taxi Provider for the LA28 Games and Team USA.

Archer showcased its Midnight aircraft at L.A. LIVE today, complete with a Team USA livery, which will remain on display through Tuesday.
