Adani Group to build 2,000-bed hospital in Bengal

Kolkata: West Bengal's Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari expressed delight over the Adani Group's announcement of constructing a 2,000-bed hospital in the New Town area near Kolkata. He highlighted that half of these beds would be granted to the needy at no cost. According to Adhikari, the Adani Group had sought his written approval for the project.

Speaking at the state secretariat, Adhikari noted that out of the total 2,000 beds, 1,000 would be designated as free beds for the impoverished, while the remaining would be utilized for commercial purposes.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group, had sent a commitment letter confirming his intention to commence the construction works soon. Adhikari emphasized that this development is a significant achievement for West Bengal.
