Policing authorities in Klang have apprehended five men in connection with a shootout incident that occurred at a food stall in Pandamaran, Klang, on Saturday night. Chief Inspector Lim Jit Huey disclosed that during the incident at 11:30 PM, two local residents aged between 22 and 26 years were severely assaulted by suspects. The confrontation left both victims with injuries to their faces and noses, necessitating external medical intervention at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) Klang.

The police's proactive measures led to the successful apprehension of the five individuals between the ages of 18 and 25 years old on the same day. The cause of the incident remains under investigation, and the South Klang District Criminal Investigation Department (IPD) has initiated a case under Section 148 of the Penal Code for the offense of unlawfully using a firearm. This section prescribes a possible sentence of up to five years in prison or a fine, or both, according to a statement from the Daily Metro.

The suspects are currently in police custody and are being held for three days until August 26, pending a magistrate's order.
