Zelenskyy Agrees With Macron on Deliveries of French Equipment and Missiles

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and French President Emmanuel Macron reached an agreement on delivering French equipment and missiles to Ukraine. According to Zelenskyy, the two leaders had a lengthy discussion, nearly two hours, focusing on critical issues. Zelenskyy emphasized the necessity of air defense in his Telegram announcement, sharing specifics about their conversation with Macron.

The Ukrainian president briefed Macron on Russia's ongoing attacks and highlighted Macron's willingness to facilitate communication with allies possessing Patriot system missiles. They also discussed the urgent need for speedier deliveries of advanced French weaponry and missiles, along with securing licenses for missile manufacturing.

Furthermore, Zelenskyy appreciated Macron's confirmation of readiness to provide crucial licenses. The talks extended to diplomatic efforts, American President's team communication, and potential avenues to enhance diplomatic ties. They separately tackled the need for accelerated defense agreements in bilateral relations. The U.S.-led Coalition of the Willing meeting to further support Ukraine is set for August 24, as previously reported.
