Water Storage Tanks Illustrate Progress in Decommissioning of Fukushima Nuclear Plant
Aug. 24 marks three years since treated water was first released from Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc.’s Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant. The amount of treated water stored in tanks at the plant has gradually decreased and no abnormalities have been detected in the ongoing monitoring of radioactive substances in the surrounding waters.
