Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya emphasized in her speech that the Government's policy is to ensure equal rights and equal opportunities for all citizens, aiming to leave no one behind. During the "Sarasavi Dhiriya Abhiman" program, held at the Jaffna District Secretariat auditorium on Saturday, she honored 75 university students with disabilities from the Northern Province with certificates and grants of Rs.

100,000 each. The Prime Minister expressed hope that the recognition would inspire more students to pursue their dreams, despite the physical and attitudinal barriers they may face. She acknowledged the significant challenges these students have overcome and highlighted the Government's commitment to building an inclusive society.

The Prime Minister also announced initiatives such as monthly allowances for low-income families and a pilot project for technological assistance to support the education of children with disabilities. She urged the students to continue their journey with determination, emphasizing that the Government and the people of the country will support them every step of the way.
