Shahid Kapoor's Deva Co-Star Rohullah Mehdi Arrested In Mumbai Drugs Case, 28g MD Seized: Report

Actor and model Rohullah Mehdi, who starred alongside Shahid Kapoor in the film Deva, has been apprehended by the Kashimira Police Crime Branch in connection with an alleged drug case in Mumbai. The police reportedly seized 28 grams of MD drugs, worth approximately Rs 5.60 lakh, during the operation.

According to NDTV, Mehdi has been identified as the primary suspect in the case. The investigation reportedly commenced after law enforcement received intelligence regarding an alleged narcotics network operating through social media platforms such as Snapchat and WhatsApp.

In executing a trap, the police acted on the tip-off and arranged for a decoy customer to be present near Thakur Mall in the Dahisar Check Naka area to allegedly exchange 28 grams of MD. Kasif, an individual identified as the undercover buyer, was subsequently apprehended during the alleged drug deal. When questioned, Kasif reportedly implicated Rohullah Mehdi, leading to further action by the Crime Branch.

Following his arrest, Mehdi was encountered outside a studio in Malad, where he was engaged in filming at the time. The police subsequently apprehended Mehdi outside the studio. Mehdi hails from the Budgam district in Jammu and Kashmir and was residing in Goregaon, Mumbai. He has a background in acting and web series, and had previously collaborated with Shahid Kapoor in Deva.

Upon his arrest, Mehdi was brought before a court, which subsequently imposed a five-day police custody on him.
