Russia stocks lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia Index unchanged

Russian stocks ended lower on Sunday, with the MOEX Russia Index remaining unchanged at 0.00%. Leading shares in the sectors included Surgutneftegas PJSC Pref, Transneft PJSC Pref, and PIK SHb PJSC, which saw declines ranging from 0.23% to 0.64%. The worst performers of the session were AFK Sistema PJSC, Magnit PJSC, and PhosAgro PJSC, with declines of 3.12%, 3.12%, and 3.04% respectively.

The Moscow Stock Exchange saw 192 stocks falling, while only 38 advanced and 18 ended unchanged. The Russian Volatility Index remained steady at 44.81. Gold Futures for December delivery increased by 1.97% to $4,661.60 per troy ounce, while Crude oil for October delivery fell by 0.22% to $86.64 and November Brent oil rose by 0.16% to $92.67. The US Dollar Index Futures dipped by 0.05% at 98.77.
