Revanth thanks Kharge for standing by him on Centre’s denial of his U.S. visit

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has expressed his gratitude to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and party leaders for standing by him following the Centre's denial of his U.S. visit. Reddy returned to Hyderabad early Monday, cutting short his planned trip to the United States and London. In a social media post, he thanked Kharge for his "strong support" and mentioned that various Congress leaders and citizens across the country had backed him.

Reddy stated that the visit was justified as being in the "national interest." He had completed all his scheduled meetings in London and opted to return to Hyderabad instead of proceeding to Boston. The Centre denied permission for the U.S. visit, citing the Ministry of External Affairs' decision that the proposed program was not suitable for Reddy's office and purpose.

The UK portion of the tour was approved. Earlier, Reddy had addressed the Telugu diaspora in London during a "Meet and Greet" event, urging them to promote Telangana's goals and vision worldwide. Reddy and IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu met with diaspora representatives to discuss Telangana's development and future growth.
