Qatar Charity restores sight for hundreds in Sri Lanka

Qatar Charity's vision care initiative, part of its global health programs, brought hope to hundreds in Sri Lanka. The Challenge 27 Campaign project cost QR282,480 and enabled 300 cataract surgeries and distribution of 555 prescription spectacles. This included vision correction support for 150 school students. The program addressed the need for affordable eye care services among low-income families, elderly with cataracts, and children struggling due to uncorrected vision.

Qatar Charity partnered with medical professionals and healthcare institutions, providing essential eye exams, surgeries, and eyewear at no cost. This intervention is part of Qatar Charity's health program, which also supports malnutrition in children under five, pregnant women, and chronic disease treatment. Collectively, these initiatives benefit over 2,000 cases with a budget of QR988,680.
