PSO and KPC mark 50 years of partnership powering Pakistan

Karachi, Pakistan – Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) celebrated 50 years of collaboration in the energy sector today, a partnership that has supplied Pakistan with Gasoil and Jet Fuel consistently since 1975. This remarkable relationship has endured through various market fluctuations, global crises, and shifts in the energy landscape, demonstrating resilience and strength.

Leaders from both companies gathered to honor the significant milestone and discuss future directions. PSO expressed deep gratitude to the Government of Pakistan, the Petroleum Division within the Ministry of Energy, and the National Commodity Management Committee (NCMC) for their support, which has enabled sustained energy cooperation and strengthened the ties between Pakistan and Kuwait.

Looking ahead, both companies aim to expand their partnership by exploring opportunities in Motor Gasoline, LPG, and other petroleum products through joint ventures and shipping alliances. This expansion is guided by their shared commitment to sustainability and alignment with the strategic priorities of both nations.

PSO also honored KPC Managing Director International Marketing, Sheikh Khaled Ahmad Al Sabah, and the entire KPC leadership for their visionary leadership and dedication to the partnership.
