NDC Volta team tracks development projects across four districts

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Volta Regional Communication team has conducted an assessment of development projects across four districts in the Volta Region. The exercise encompassed Agortime-Ziope, Ketu South, Ketu North, and Anloga districts, where the team inspected numerous projects in education, health, roads, markets, and other sectors. Their aim was to gather firsthand information on government interventions, verify project status, and enhance communication about their anticipated impact on communities.

In Agortime-Ziope District, the team inspected completed and ongoing projects in various sectors. Education projects included three completed classroom blocks with offices and stores at Adzorvi and Takuve, as well as a partially completed block at Obemla. The health sector saw the completion of a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound with nurses' quarters at Datsiedu and another at AGOSEC Top, along with the completion of a legacy CHPS compound in Agorhokpo. The team also examined a 24-Hour Economy market currently under construction in the constituency.

Ketu South witnessed the progress of Phase II of the Blekusu Sea Defence Project, aimed at protecting vulnerable coastal communities from tidal waves and seawater intrusion. The project has already reclaimed several kilometers of land, providing relief to affected areas. The reclaimed land will be utilized for social amenities and other facilities for local communities. Other projects inspected in Ketu South included the Tokor-Ho Road project and a 24-hour Economy market under construction.
