Milton throws 2 TDs in 1st half, makes case for Cowboys’ backup job in 34-13 win over Cardinals

Joe Milton delivered two touchdown passes and rushed for another score, solidifying his claim for the Dallas Cowboys' backup quarterback position. The third-year player threw for 176 yards and connected on a 53-yard touchdown pass to Jonathan Mingo, followed by a 70-yard strike to Camden Brown that set up Milton's 1-yard touchdown run.

Dallas dominated the first half, leading 24-6. Milton's strong performance continued in the second half as he led the team to a 34-13 preseason victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Jaydon Blue rushed for 75 yards on 15 carries, contributing to Dallas's impressive display. Gardner Minshew completed 19 of 23 passes for 177 yards for Arizona, but his efforts were insufficient to keep the Cardinals in the game.

Cowboys cornerback Shavon Revel made a crucial interception, returning the ball 22 yards to the Arizona 12. The Cardinals' Jacoby Brissett's backup, Howell, finished 7-of-10 for 65 yards but also threw an interception in the end zone.
