Man held for allegedly killing wife in Kerala’s Malappuram

A 40-year-old man from Kerala's Malappuram was arrested for allegedly killing his wife and dumping her body in the river, according to police reports. Hussain Andippatt, hailing from Padinjarekkara, was apprehended in connection with his wife Fousiya's death. Fousiya, aged 37, was reported missing after her husband took her from their home on Wednesday evening, claiming they were heading to the seashore to collect washed-up fish.

The couple did not return, raising concerns among their children who subsequently informed the police on Thursday evening. The investigation culminated in the recovery of Fousiya's body from the Tirur river near Padinjarekkara, where it was discovered inside a sack.
