Man City agree deal for Lille star Bouaddi

Manchester City have secured the signing of young Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille, with both clubs agreeing to a £86 million (£117 million) deal, according to recent reports. This transfer comes shortly after City parted ways with fellow midfielder Rodri, who has moved to Barcelona, and Tijjani Reijnders, who has joined Al-Qadsiah.

The 18-year-old Bouaddi, who was a standout performer at the recent World Cup, played an instrumental role in helping Morocco reach the quarter-finals before their defeat against France. Manchester City has been in discussions with Lille for several weeks and finally sealed the deal to bring the talented player to the Etihad Stadium.

City's new signing will bolster the club's midfield department, joining fellow England international Elliot Anderson. This follows the manager's recent strategy of focusing on strengthening the central midfield area after taking over from the departed Pep Guardiola at the end of the previous season.

In addition to Bouaddi, Manchester City remains interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez; however, the transfer has not materialized yet. The reason for this delay is Chelsea's stipulation to reject any bids if they exceed £120 million, an amount that the London club had previously set for the Argentine player.
