Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has shared his first social media update following knee surgery resulting from an injury sustained during the filming of his upcoming sports drama with director Kabir Khan. Currently recuperating at home, the actor posted a series of photos and videos on Instagram on Sunday (August 23), giving fans a glimpse of his injured leg and the hospital setting.

One photo depicts Kartik wearing a knee brace, while another features the caption "Foot out of service." Additionally, a black-and-white image from a Mumbai hospital shows him sitting on a hospital bed with IV cannulas on his left hand. The post also includes earlier pictures of the actor engaged in running and training for the upcoming sports drama.

In the caption, Kartik quoted Kabir Khan, saying, "Kabir sir said – Break a leg," which is a common phrase used to wish someone good luck. The actor's health update follows an injury sustained on August 18 while shooting an intense action sequence for the film. The incident occurred during the final two days of the shoot, leading to his admission at Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mahim, Mumbai.

Kartik subsequently underwent knee surgery, and his spokesperson confirmed that the procedure was successful. They stated, "His surgery was completed successfully, and he is now back home, resting and recovering. He will be back on set soon." Despite initial concerns that the injury might affect the film's shooting schedule, Kabir Khan assured that the project remains on track.

This upcoming film marks Kartik Aaryan's second collaboration with Kabir Khan, following their previous work on "Chandu Champion." Additionally, Kartik is making his debut as a producer with this sports drama under his own banner. The untitled sports drama is reportedly inspired by an extraordinary real-life sporting story and stars Kartik in the role of a kickboxing coach mentoring a young girl from Kashmir.
