JSP begins scouting for strong candidates ahead of local bodies elections

The Jana Sena Party (JSP) is conducting a field study to identify strong, clean candidates for the upcoming local body elections in Srikakulam district. Party officials, including Korikana Ravikumar, chairman of the Urban Development Authority and a member of the high-power committee for local body elections, emphasized that the party has a strong network in all villages and mandals of the district.

Ravikumar highlighted the party's experience from the 2021 local body elections and the need to assess candidates' previous service activities. The party aims to gather information on candidates' relationships with people, activists, and leaders of alliance parties such as the TDP and BJP. Ravikumar noted that the party's president and Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, is well-respected in Srikakulam for his efforts in addressing Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).

Kalyan's special association with the district is expected to strengthen the party's position in the local body elections scheduled for October 2026.
