Iran executes man accused of aiding US, Israel in anti-govt protests

According to Iranian prosecutors, Majid Adineh was executed on Sunday for his alleged role in aiding the United States and Israel during the January protests. The judiciary claims Adineh was convicted for carrying a chainsaw during the nationwide rallies and was accused of aiding hostile groups. He was found guilty of operational action in favor of these hostile groups, arson, gathering, and colluding with the intention of committing crimes against the country's internal security.

Adineh's appeal was rejected and his death sentence, along with the confiscation of all his property, was upheld by the Supreme Court. The execution took place early Sunday morning, according to the Mizan Online website reporting the news.
