Infantino must remember he is European - Ceferin

Uefa president Aleksander Ceferin has ruled himself out of the race to replace Gianni Infantino, but anticipates someone will challenge the Fifa leader in March. Infantino faced protests over his decision to sell off stakes in Fifa's competitions to private investors, which led to Uefa's members voting to boycott World Cups. Ceferin, 57, stated he does not plan to stand as he values his work at Uefa and wants to enjoy life.

Infantino may either resign due to lack of support or face a challenge from another candidate in March's Fifa Congress. Uefa led the backlash, with European football's governing body losing confidence in Infantino. Former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o defended Infantino, stating the project could have been incredible for Africa.

Ceferin criticized Infantino's scrapped plan as "worse than the Super League," emphasizing that football should not be sold.
