A 27-year-old Indian national, Gurdeep Singh, was fatally shot in New York City on Friday, August 21, 2026, in the East New York neighborhood. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. after an altercation between Singh and an unidentified man. The suspect fled the scene, leaving Singh fatally wounded. Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
