FULL LIST: FIFA releases 2027 Women’s World Cup playoff fixtures

The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 Play-Off Tournament has unveiled the preliminary phase fixtures. Ghana and South Africa will face Uzbekistan and South Africa respectively in Group A, while Papua New Guinea will take on Chinese Taipei in Group B. The final group sees Ecuador pitted against Ghana. The preliminary phase will take place from November 24 to December 5, 2026.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the final phase, which will occur from February 23 to March 6, 2027. The final phase will include the four teams that directly qualify, along with the three winners from the preliminary phase. Ghana and South Africa, both African nations, have secured their spots in the playoffs after their respective victories over Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria.

Ghana aims to return to the World Cup for the first time since 2007, while South Africa seeks to reach its third consecutive Women’s World Cup appearance. The 2027 World Cup will be hosted in Brazil from June 24 to July 25, marking the first South American edition of the event.
