EPL: Liverpool, Newcastle share points as Manchester City secure last-gasp win

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Liverpool are engaging in discussions with Real Madrid regarding the potential signing of forward Endrick, priced at around £55 million. This comes after Liverpool made an initial £50 million offer for the 22-year-old Brazilian player, which Real Madrid turned down. Another bid of £60 million was also rejected by the Spanish club.

Liverpool's sporting director Richard Hughes had initially suggested a £50 million bid for Endrick, but the forward was eventually retained by Real Madrid. The club then pursued another offer of £60 million, which again went unaccepted by the La Liga giants.

Real Madrid's president Florentino Pérez and coach José Mourinho have decided to keep Endrick on board, despite Liverpool's persistence. Endrick, who previously had a loan spell at Lyon last season, has been described as 'phenomenal' by his teammate Gabriel Jesus. The left-footer is highly regarded for his versatility, capable of playing both as a right-side attacker and a No9.

Liverpool is reported to be willing to meet the £55 million valuation set by Real Madrid for Endrick, but the final decision will hinge on the outcome of negotiations with Brighton for another target, Yankuba Minteh.
