Eagles RB Ja’Quinden Jackson traveled home with team after injury in preseason game at New England

Philadelphia Eagles running back Ja'Quinden Jackson suffered an injury during a preseason game against the New England Patriots on Saturday night. The Philadelphia Eagles released Jackson from the hospital and accompanied him home with the team. In the opening kickoff, Jackson tackled Lan Larison of the Patriots, after which he lay motionless.

Jackson was taken to a hospital for further evaluation, where medical personnel from both teams attended to him quickly. Players from both teams gathered near the sideline as Jackson was strapped onto a stretcher. He briefly raised his left arm before being loaded into the ambulance. Jackson, who played at Jacksonville's practice squad the previous season, ran for 2,148 yards and 29 touchdowns in college, completing his final three years at the University of Utah.
