Eagles player suffers frightening injury, leaves field in ambulance

In a harrowing incident during Saturday night's preseason game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium, Eagles running back Ja’Quinden Jackson suffered a frightening injury that left him unconscious on the field. The collision occurred on kickoff coverage when Jackson's head struck Patriots running back Lan Larison while attempting a tackle.

Unconscious, Jackson remained motionless on the ground, prompting immediate action from the Philadelphia medical staff who swiftly brought out a stretcher and placed him on it. An ambulance then transported the injured player to a local hospital for further evaluation. The Eagles' entire sideline rushed to the field to assess Jackson's condition before he was taken away in the ambulance.

Despite the crowd at the Patriots' end cheering Jackson out, the situation remained serious as he was taken for medical assessment. The Eagles had recently signed Jackson to replace injured backup running backs Dameon Pierce and Elijah Mitchell, both of whom were placed on injured reserve.
