Duleep Trophy: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi falls for 8 runs off 6 balls

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the 15-year-old batsman from East Zone, was dismissed for just 8 runs off 6 balls against North East Zone in the quarterfinals of the Duleep Trophy. The young cricketer entered the crease when North East Zone elected to bat first, a decision that seemed risky given East Zone's star-studded batting lineup. Abhimanyu Easwaran got off to a good start with a boundary, but the attention soon shifted to Sooryavanshi.

The teenager began with dot deliveries before hitting back-to-back boundaries to mid-wicket and a cutting shot that found the boundary. However, his third delivery to Bishworjit Konthoujam was a costly mistake. He played a rash drive, only to be caught by the fielder at gully for a duck. Sooryavanshi's coach, Manish Ojha, had warned that the biggest challenge for the young star would be adjusting his mental approach to the new ball.
