‘Don’t know if i’d love him if he didn’t’: Priyanka on Nick Jonas embracing her Indian roots

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas frequently showcase their mutual appreciation for each other's cultural backgrounds. During an interview with E! News at the New York premiere of her documentary Cycle of Love, Priyanka revealed that Nick's openness to embracing her Indian heritage has been a significant factor in their enduring eight-year marriage.

She stated, "I don't know if I'd love him if he didn't." The actress emphasized the importance of respecting one's partner's roots in multicultural relationships. At home, Nick partakes in Hindu festivals, listens to Hindi music, and supports their four-year-old daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, in maintaining her Indian identity.

When questioned about the key to their successful relationship, Priyanka reiterated her belief in kindness towards one's partner. The couple, who wed in 2018, had a Christian and Hindu wedding ceremony. In 2022, they welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie, via surrogacy. Priyanka, who is an executive producer on the upcoming documentary The Cycle of Love, shared that the film follows PK Mahanandia, a young Delhi street artist from a low-caste Dalit family who embarked on a 6,000-mile bicycle journey across multiple countries in 1977 to meet Lotta von Schedvin, the woman he loved.
