Dolly Parton is developing plans for a digital avatar of herself to perform for fans, according to a recent interview with People magazine. The country music star is working with companies to create "avatar performances" in the early stages of development. Despite canceling a planned Las Vegas residency in May due to health issues, Parton's "DOLLY: A True Original Musical" is set to begin its Broadway run in December 2027, with previews starting on its official opening night, January 19th.
