Delhi weather today: Rains lash parts of city, bringing relief from heat and humidity

Delhi experienced rainfall on Sunday morning, offering a respite from the sweltering heat and high humidity. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported light rain in isolated areas of the city, with Pusa recording a maximum cumulative rainfall of 1.65 mm. Meanwhile, the Ridge area saw a light thunderstorm, accompanied by rain and mist, with temperatures at 26°C.

Earlier, Delhi saw very light to light rain at many locations, with moderate rainfall in some areas and thunderstorms and lightning. The capital's minimum temperatures ranged from 23-26°C, while maximum temperatures hovered between 34-35°C. The weather agency forecasted isolated heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand and fairly widespread rainfall in several regions, including the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, and Sikkim, from August 22-28.
