Buccaneers rookie Jalon Daniels leads 3 scoring drives in 16-15 comeback win over Chiefs

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie Jalon Daniels was instrumental in leading three second-half scoring drives, contributing to a 16-15 preseason victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday night. Daniels threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Ko Kieft, while Sean Tucker scored on a 1-yard run. B.T. Potter added a 46-yard field goal, propelling the Bucs (2-0) to a halftime deficit of 9-0.

Kansas City's (0-2) defense was led by three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes, but he missed a 69-yard field goal attempt in the third quarter and a 43-yarder in the closing minutes. Baker Mayfield, making his preseason debut since 2024, started but was replaced by Jack Browning late in the first quarter. Justin Fields took over at quarterback, and the Chiefs, without Mahomes, ultimately lost to the Buccaneers.
