BREAKING: Apapa Customs records N28.1 billion in single-day revenue

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in Apapa Area Command recorded an impressive N28.1 billion in revenue on August 18, 2026, establishing a new single-day record for the command. This remarkable figure was disclosed by the Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs Isah Sulaiman, in a statement released by the Service on Sunday.

The command managed to collect exactly N28,102,000,914.61 within a 24-hour period, surpassing their previous single-day revenue record of N20.1 billion, which was set in September 2025.

Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba, the Customs Area Controller for Apapa Area Command, emphasized that the new revenue record signifies more than just financial achievement. He highlighted its crucial role in driving national development. Oshoba attributed the exceptional performance to the ongoing support for Customs modernization, automation, and reforms. He also extended his gratitude to compliant importers, exporters, licensed Customs agents, and other stakeholders who played a pivotal role in this success.

This record follows closely on the heels of the command's unprecedented revenue generation of N323 billion in July 2026.
