Al Hilal close to signing Watkins and Martinelli to bolster attack

Al Hilal are close to finalizing the signings of English forward Ollie Watkins and Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli before the summer transfer window concludes. Reports suggest the Saudi club is actively negotiating with both players to bolster their attacking lineup. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed Al Hilal is making significant progress with Watkins, with personal terms reportedly agreed upon, bringing the deal closer to a definitive conclusion.

Martinelli is also a key target for Al Hilal, and ongoing talks with Arsenal are in the works. Meanwhile, Watkins' absence from Aston Villa's squad for their recent Premier League match against Brighton has sparked speculation about his impending move. Al Hilal has already secured victories in their first two Saudi Pro League games, yet the club's management is actively seeking additional signings to bolster their squad for potential league title challenges.
