Zelensky, Wadephul Discuss Further Support for Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and German Foreign Minister Heiko Wadephul met to discuss further support for Ukraine during these crucial days. Zelensky expressed gratitude to Germany for its substantial aid and presence at the 9th International Veterans Forum, highlighting the country's status as the most prominent supporter in Europe.

The President briefed Wadephul on the devastating impact of Russia's attacks on civilian infrastructure and the Ukrainian populace. Wadephul, in turn, conveyed condolences to families of the deceased and all those impacted by the conflict. The conversation centered on enhancing Ukraine's winter preparedness, with strengthening air defenses as a top priority.

Zelensky commended Germany's leadership in this area and its unwavering efforts to offer maximum assistance despite the challenges. They also discussed safeguarding the transport routes for Ukrainian agricultural exports, which have faced significant disruption due to Russian aggression. Additionally, the two leaders explored the progress of the Drone Deal agreement, with hopes of signing the document soon.

The meeting also addressed Ukraine's European integration, with Zelensky appreciating Germany's contributions towards that goal. The discussion extended to preparations for the Coalition of the Willing meeting in Kyiv and diplomatic efforts, including contacts with U.S. President Donald Trump's representatives. German Foreign Minister Wadephul arrived in Kyiv on Saturday morning.
