US rapper BigXthaPlug arrested on drug and gun charges

Dallas rapper BigXthaPlug, whose real name is Xavier Landum, has been arrested in Texas on drug and gun charges, according to Allen County Police. The 28-year-old was stopped on Friday and is currently held in Collin County Jail. He is facing charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, and illegal possession of a firearm.

This is not his first arrest of this nature; he was previously detained on similar charges a year ago and in August of last year. BigXthaPlug, known for his southern hip-hop, trap, and country-rap style, had recently announced the release of new music and was scheduled to perform at the Country Rising festival when he was arrested.

However, the festival organizers later announced that he would no longer be performing due to a personal emergency. BigXthaPlug had previously performed at the Wireless Festival in the UK in 2025 and was set to release his latest album at the time of his arrest. The case continues.
