UHS Announces 2026 Postgraduate Entrance Test Date

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) in Lahore has announced that online registration for the UHS Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGET) 2026 will commence on 23 August 2026. Candidates must submit their applications by 22 September to be considered. The actual test will be held on Sunday, 25 October 2026.

PGET 2026 is a prerequisite for admission to Level III postgraduate medical and dental programs in Punjab's public-sector institutions. Successful applicants will be eligible to participate in the Central Induction Policy for the January 2027 intake.

To be eligible, candidates must possess an MBBS or BDS degree from a university recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC). They must have completed a one-year house job at a PM&DC-accredited institution and hold valid permanent registration with the council. For open-merit or disability-quota seats, a Punjab domicile is also required. Applicants must be under 40 years of age on the registration deadline.

Foreign candidates must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or study visa from the Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan, and provide an NOC from the relevant home department. The UHS PGET 2026 test consists of two papers, each with 100 multiple-choice questions and a total of 200 marks. Paper I evaluates basic sciences from the MBBS or BDS curriculum, while Paper II assesses knowledge related to the applicant's chosen specialty.

The minimum passing score is set at the 75th percentile, and the PGET score constitutes 75% of the admission merit calculation.
