Tinubu constitutes APC 2027 presidential campaign council, names Yari DG

President Bola Tinubu has formed the Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 All Progressives Congress election. Former Zamfara Governor Abdulaziz Yari will lead the council as Director-General, with Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as Secretary. The President and Vice President, Kashim Shettima, will serve as Chairman and Vice-Chairman, respectively.

APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda will be Vice-Chairman II. Tinubu will collaborate with advisers such as Bisi Akande, Segun Osoba, and Senator Rochas Okorocha. Zonal directors have been appointed to oversee campaign efforts in various regions, including South-West, South-South, and North-East zones. Deputy Director-General roles include Senator Adams Oshiomhole for mobilisation and Femi Gbajabiamila for administration.

James Faleke, a key figure in the 2022/2023 campaign, returns as Deputy Director-General for election planning, coordination, and monitoring. The campaign also includes directors for legal affairs, media and strategic communication, and coordinating departments. Tinubu has urged all members to work diligently to secure victory in the upcoming elections.
