Third woman engages lawyer over 'incredibly traumatic' Sydney Swans scandal

A third woman has enlisted legal counsel in response to the Sydney Swans sexual assault scandal, with her attorney considering a civil lawsuit. Jackson Pannam, her lawyer, informed that she alerted authorities immediately after the alleged incident at the Pullman Hotel in East Melbourne on Monday, August 17. Carbone Lawyers separately announced representation for two other women, presumed to be adult entertainers, who were allegedly involved in the incident.

Pannam expressed that his client's life was dramatically altered and is grappling with a profoundly distressing ordeal. He emphasized the severe and enduring consequences such experiences can inflict on individuals' lives, highlighting the firm's stance on the profound and lasting impact of serious injuries, losses, and abuse.

On Friday, Carbone Lawyers separately disclosed their intention to represent two other women, believed to be adult entertainers, involved in the incident and investigating the possibility of launching a civil claim. The incident reportedly involved several adult entertainers who, according to reports, mingled with the Swans players following the club's victory over Essendon last Sunday night.

Five players - Isaac Heeney, Nick Blakey, Chad Warner, Riley Bice, and James Jordon - were subsequently suspended by the Swans for violating the club's regulations regarding excessive drinking and late-night outings following the match in Melbourne. Pannam clarified that following his client's initial contact with police, she continued to cooperate with their investigation into the incident.

He underscored the importance of safety for everyone in their daily lives, be it at home, work, or public spaces, ensuring they do not face assault or harm. Pannam pledged his firm's support for his client during this challenging period, aiming to secure the justice she rightfully deserves. The police investigation continues, yet no arrests or charges have been filed so far.
