Teen door knocks for help after critical stabbing

A 15-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being stabbed in Terrigal, a beachside suburb on the NSW Central Coast. The critical injury occurred shortly before 9:45 pm on Friday. The teenager, who was out with friends, was heavily bleeding from a single stab wound to his left side. After the attack, the boy knocked on a random homeowner's door for help, who then contacted emergency services.

Paramedics treated the victim at the scene and rushed him to Gosford Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. A 15-year-old boy was arrested at Gosford Police Station on Saturday and charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He was refused bail and is due to appear in a children's court on Sunday.

Detective Chief Inspector John Zdrilic stated that investigators are focusing on two groups of teenagers reportedly in the area at the time. The victim was with two friends when they met up with another group of up to five individuals. Police emphasized that the presence of knives among youths is unacceptable and have been actively working to remove them from the streets.
