Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947 earns Rs 75 lakh on second Friday, yet to cross Rs 50 cr worldwide

Batwara 1947, a film starring Sunny Deol, has struggled at the box office, collecting just Rs 75 lakh on its second Friday. The total worldwide earnings for the film remain at Rs 49.02 crore, well short of the Rs 50 crore mark. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the movie was released alongside Awarapan 2, which has already amassed Rs 169 crore globally in a short span.

Batwara 1947, set against the backdrop of the Indian partition, stars Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi and marks Zinta's return to the silver screen after an eight-year hiatus. Despite strong promotions by Aamir Khan, the film failed to engage audiences, with declining ticket sales from its fourth day. With Yash's Toxic set to release soon, Batwara 1947's theatrical run appears to be nearing an end.
