Pujara’s plea to Suthar: ‘Don’t change yourself just for the IPL’

Former Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara has advised young spinner Manav Suthar not to change his game for the Indian Premier League (IPL). Pujara emphasized the need to preserve Suthar's natural ability to flight the ball for Test cricket. While acknowledging the allure of the shorter format, Pujara suggested that Suthar should maintain his bowling style when playing white-ball cricket.

He also noted that modern finger spinners adapting to the IPL often lose their ability to bowl effectively in the air, which is crucial for Test matches. Despite the opportunity to play in the IPL, Pujara stressed that Suthar should not compromise his strengths.
