Outgoing White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt to join pro-Trump political group

Washington: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who will depart her role at the end of the month, has revealed her plans to rejoin MAGA Inc., a pro-Trump super PAC, as she transitions out of her position. At 28 years old, Leavitt is the youngest individual ever to hold the position of White House press secretary. The super PAC can raise unlimited funds and utilize them for political influence, such as through advertisements, provided they do not directly coordinate with campaign candidates.

Leavitt informed journalists of her decision to still accompany the president at a Republican convention in Dallas, Texas, before the November midterm elections. The departure of Leavitt, who gave birth to her second child in early May, follows her tenure with MAGA Inc. from 2022 to 2024 before joining Trump's campaign team. When asked about a successor, President Trump expressed being inundated with job applications.
