Official: Napoli sign Badiashile in potential €23m transfer from Chelsea

Napoli have confirmed the signing of centre-back Benoit Badiashile from Chelsea in a potential €23 million transfer. According to a club statement, the Italian side has acquired the sporting rights to Badiashile on a temporary basis with the option to buy him permanently for an additional €20 million. Sky Sport transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Napoli will pay a fee of €3 million to sign Badiashile on loan from the start of the season.

This is Napoli's second new first-team signing this summer, following Costantino Favasuli's arrival from US Catanzaro earlier in the transfer window. Badiashile's buy option is not the only one Napoli have exercised this summer, as they also signed Rasmus Hojlund, Alisson Santos, and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.
