National 2SLGBTQ+ monument holds special meaning for those purged from civil service for being gay
Thousands of Canadians were purged from the military, RCMP and civil service between the Cold War-era and the 1990s for their sexuality, including Vancouver's Wayne Davis and the great uncle of Elenore Sturko, an MLA and former Mountie.
