Limpopo police hail Musina community for tip-off on crystal meth lab

Limpopo Police Commissioner Jan Scheepers has commended the community of Musina for providing crucial information about a large-scale crystal meth lab located on a farm in the area. On Thursday evening, law enforcement conducted a raid on the suspected clandestine drug lab, ultimately seizing crystal meth, equipment valued at approximately R600 million, five individuals, and a substantial amount of cash.

At present, the police in Limpopo are engaged in the investigation of this massive drug manufacturing operation, with additional arrests anticipated. Scheepers emphasized the importance of community cooperation in combating crime, stating that the police cannot achieve this alone. The community provided information that led to the two-month monitoring of the site, resulting in the successful operation and the arrest of individuals from Mexico, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.
