'Judges are not gods, will not get every judgment right': Justice Sanjay Karol

NEW DELHI: In his farewell remarks on Saturday, Justice Sanjay Karol of the Supreme Court emphasized that judges are not infallible and their judgments are not infallible. He encouraged his fellow judges to look beyond mere facts and consider the individuals seeking justice. Chief Justice Surya Kant and other legal professionals paid tribute to Karol upon his retirement.

Karol reflected on his 40-year career, both as an advocate and a judge, stressing the importance of humility and empathy in judging. He reminded the court that their responsibility extends beyond legal correctness to ensuring justice is served for everyone, regardless of their social status.
