I Got AWS Credits. So I Built Something for the Community.

When I became an AWS Community Builder, one of the things I was most excited about was getting the opportunity to experiment with AWS. Let me Introduce .... eventinary.com A Completly free event management software Like most developers, I had a long list of things I wanted to build. AI applications, serverless projects, agents, APIs — there was no shortage of ideas. The AWS credits made it easier…

When I became an AWS Community Builder, I was thrilled by the prospect of exploring AWS for myself. Like many developers, my mind was filled with ideas for AI applications, serverless projects, APIs, and more. The AWS credits provided the perfect opportunity to experiment without worrying about the cost of every service. However, I began to wonder if I could use those credits to create something that would benefit the community instead.

This led me to the concept of Eventinary, a free event management software for technical meetups and community events.

Technical meetups and events are small but impactful. Participants learn new technologies, meet fellow developers, and gain inspiration to create their own projects. Behind the scenes, organizers face challenges such as creating events, managing registrations, tracking attendees, coordinating speakers, and keeping everything organized.

Many rely on various tools and spreadsheets to handle these tasks. I thought there must be a better way to simplify this process and make it easier for organizers to focus on creating great events.

So, I started building Eventinary, a comprehensive digital event platform. As I developed the platform, I aimed to create a proper event management system that could support every aspect of the event experience. With the AWS Community Builder credits, I was able to experiment, deploy, and learn using real cloud infrastructure. However, I began to see the credits as a way to give back to the community, rather than just a personal reward. Thus, I made Eventinary available to technical communities and meetups at no cost.

With Eventinary, organizers can manage everything from event creation to digital invitations, RSVPs, speaker coordination, and event updates. The platform is designed to help technical communities and meetups organize their events without the need for additional software subscriptions. By using the resources provided as an AWS Community Builder, Eventinary operates as a SaaS platform, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

The true value of Eventinary lies not in the technology itself, but in the impact it creates. Imagine a local developer group organizing an AI meetup. With Eventinary, they can create the event, add speakers and sessions, publish the schedule, and collect RSVPs. On the day of the event, developers gather to learn, network, and share ideas. Eventinary facilitates this process, enabling developers to connect and grow together.

As Eventinary evolves, I continue to explore new features and improvements. However, the core purpose remains unchanged: to build something that helps others build their communities. AWS provided me with the opportunity to learn and build, and I wanted to give back by creating a tool that empowers others to do the same. If you're organizing a technical meetup, developer group, AI event, cloud workshop, hackathon, or community event, check out Eventinary at eventinary.com.

Your feedback is valuable to me, as this project is about building something that helps the next person grow.
