Governor Nyaribo promises to deliver his manifesto by April 2027

Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo has stated his administration's commitment to delivering on key development promises made in the 2022 manifesto before the 2027 General Election. During a funeral service at Mwencha in Ekerenyo Ward, Nyaribo expressed confidence in fulfilling his major campaign pledges by April 2027. He assured residents that he is "doing the work you assigned me as Governor," promising to mark off each promise made during the 2022 campaigns as he fulfills them.

Nyaribo highlighted the progress the county has made in opening and upgrading roads to murram standards, with the goal of covering all wards by December 2026, including at least 15 kilometers in each ward. The governor credited the acquisition of road construction and maintenance machinery for enhancing the county's capacity to improve and maintain its road network.

In another development, Nyaribo announced plans to invest Sh200 million in the Revolving Drug Fund (RDF) for the current year, bringing the total investment to Sh500 million. He pledged to eliminate drug shortages in health facilities, allowing residents to simply order medications from Nyamira dispensaries.

The governor also discussed infrastructure investments aimed at improving healthcare accessibility, such as the expansion of health facilities in the county. As other county administrations prepare for increased scrutiny ahead of the 2027 elections, Nyaribo's administration faces the challenge of defending its performance. The governor's remarks were made amid the funerals of former councillor Geoffrey Nchore Masigwa and North Mugirango MP Joseph Kiangoi, attended by local political figures and senior officials.
